Hi there! I’m Russell, a tech enthusiast and lifelong learner with a passion for programming, statistics, databases, and neural networks. My professional journey has been diverse, ranging from creating a volunteer database and building an LLM-powered chatbot to my current role as a community coordinator for HIFIS, where I manage a homelessness database and provide essential tech support. Alongside this, I’m a TA and researcher, exploring the fascinating world of automated chord extraction using deep learning.
On the academic side, I’ve published work in a student journal and am currently developing additional papers to contribute to the field further. I take pride in blending hands-on technical work with meaningful research that advances knowledge and solves real-world problems.
Outside of work, I’ve been playing the piano for over a decade and enjoy exploring music, technology, and networking. I also love a good challenge, whether it’s a strategy-packed board game or a complex coding project.
I believe in combining technical expertise with creativity and a human touch. My goal is to not just solve problems but to build meaningful connections and foster innovation along the way.
